Samirah is a biologist turned technology enthusiast with a passion for using cutting-edge research to improve people's lives. After completing her degree in biology, she spent two years conducting research at the University of California, San Francisco, where she explored how the latest advances in neuroscience and technology could be combined to improve health outcomes.

Following her research work, Samirah joined Google where she began her career in developer marketing. In this role, Samirah worked to help developers build on Google products by providing them with the tools and resources to create innovative solutions that solved real-world problems using Google technologies.

Her passion for new innovations led her to explore different areas of the company, and later joined Google Research where she focused on hardware powering the company’s newest AI & ML breakthroughs.

Throughout her career, Samirah has been driven by a deep belief in the power of technology to positively impact society. She is constantly seeking new opportunities to bridge the gap between scientific research and practical applications, and is committed to advancing the field of technology in ways that benefit people around the world.

She is passionate about helping young women kickstart their careers in STEM. As a first-generation Latina graduate, she believes that access to technology and education is essential for creating a more equitable and inclusive society, and is committed to empowering underrepresented groups to pursue careers in STEM fields.
